First Look: Teen Justice Springs into Action

Kids. They grow up so fast. One minute they’re asking for ice cream and heading off to school for the very first time, the next they’re joining a team of costume-clad crimefighters and battling bad guys on the streets of New York.

Okay, admittedly, the young heroes in the new series Multiversity: Teen Justice lead lives that are pretty far from average, but they’re still teens—it’s right there in the name. They’re also a bit different from the other similarly named heroes you might be familiar with, but you can chalk that one up to the multiverse. Teen Justice returns us to the world of Grant Morrison’s The Multiversity, the mind-bending, multiverse-spanning miniseries that mapped out DC’s 52 Earths for the first time. But while The Multiversity was a complex, thematically diverse love letter to the medium of comics in general, Multiversity: Teen Justice is all about having fun while stomping super-villains.

Even better, it features the return of Kid Quick, the non-binary speedster who was first introduced in last year’s DC Future State. Now, for the first time, we’ll be able to see them in action on their home planet of Earth-11, alongside such heroes as Robin, Supergirl, Aquagirl, Troy and Clarienne the Witch Girl, as the Teen Justice team deals with the rising threat of HIVE Written by Ivan Cohen and Danny Lore and drawn by the remarkable Marco Failla, you can also find Teen Justice within next week’s DC Pride 2022 #1, where they’ll be featured in an introductory story. But make sure you don’t miss the main show—Multiversity: Teen Titans #1—which lands in stores next week as well. This is one you’re going to be talking about, but if you don’t believe us, check out this exclusive preview of the debut issue. On Earth-11, at least, the future of heroism is in very good hands.
